Studying & Eating

I am at a local restaurant trying to cram more info into my head. I am taking a class prepping me for the Project Management Certification and decided to have a nice working dinner at Wildfire near Perimeter Mall. It is hard being so close to home but so far away. Anyway, blogging is keeping me sane. This is my view - note the tattered notebook on the nice dining table. I am classy.

Cake & Ale Eclair

We got this for free because they thought I was a food critic. Taking pictures of all of your food and ordering different entrees helps with the disguise. The eclair was OK but the texture seemed forced like they were trying to be avant garde.

Cake & Ale's Gnocchi

A nice take on a traditional entree with fennel sausage. Light yet tasty.

Cake & Ale Snack

Radishes with sea salt felt like a very Parisian snack and is delicious.

Cake & Ale

After the beer festival of sweat, we went to this new restaurant in Decatur. The chicken was a signature dish and was nicely and simply roasted. The restaurant is a nice addition to the crowded Decatur food scene.

Green's Belgian Closet

What is the best thing to do after a beer festival? Go and get more beer at the best Belgian beer store in town. We sat in there just to cool off.

Queso Fundido

We ate this at Cantina in East Atlanta. We are going to die.

Tool

This was one of the only highlights. I wanted to kick this guy in the balls.

East Atlanta Beer Festival

It was hot and disappointing but we were able to get a picture with a Colonial beer maker. Yawn.

Birthday Reflections

I apologize for my drunk blog postings this last weekend. My awesome wife surprised me with a limo and an impromptu trip to Athens to eat at Farm 255 and have some beer at the Belgian beer fantasy called Trappeze. The trip there with my friends and good beer was as good as the organic food at the restaurant. The birthday carrot cake cupcakes were excellent as was the cheeseburger. I would love to go back sober. The pub was a short but nice visit and they had a great draft selection of beer. Thanks to my friends and family for making my 35th very special.

Cheryl & the Devil

I am not sure what this is.

Athens Surpise

In Athens we drank and we partied. I think.

Friends at Table..

I am not sure why they are here

I am at Farm 255

Pretty cool place in Athens. I am having a cheeseburger.

More Friends in the Limo

I cannot believe it!

The Ladies in the Limo

They are not hookers. I think.....ugh.

Birthday Surprises

I am in a large limo my wife procured and have no idea where I am going. Yay for 35!

Funk-Cakes

In order to mock my sister and entertain her friends with wacky pictures, I pretended to take a regular picture. The cupcakes were excellent even though the girl with afro was holding them.

Emmy's Breakfast

I plan on taking pictures of all of my sister's food. Why? I am not sure but her friends seem to care.

Emmy & Fries

We are at JCT Kitchens with my sister. We came straight from the airport and had to have truffle fries. The potatoes are not in the shape of Hello Kitty.
