My last course sounded like it may be weird but the orange scented olive oil cake with mandarin orange compote was moist and sweet. It reminded me of the Cuban borracho cake but without the alcohol.

Glad Bistro Sofia wound up being a decent choice :). I get nervous recommending places...especially to foodies from urban areas with tons of fab choices. The Triad is definitely not a food mecca, but we have a few places that are passable.
